I went back and forth on what Golden Blossom Honey recipe I should share with you this week. Should I do another grilling type post for the upcoming July 4th holiday, or maybe do a fruit pie? I kept waffling between some of the recipes I've saved from their site, but for some reason kept coming back to this Orange-Rosemary Bundt Cake recipe.

Orange-Rosemary Bundt Cake

It's been really hot here this week and the thought of using the oven wasn't high on my list, but I did have some rosemary that was growing out of control and some oranges that needed to be put to use, so what the heck. I threw caution to the wind, cranked up the oven, and went to town whipping the ingredients together to create this beautiful cake.

Orange-Rosemary Bundt Cake

I don't know what it is about bundt cakes, but I always find them irresistible. They are so good for an afternoon treat paired with a cup of tea or coffee and a little side of fruit. If your area is relaxing the social distancing guidelines, this would be a great recipe to have on hand for any get-togethers you may have planned for this summer. Save it for the 4th, or if the kids get to go back to school this August, as a special treat for enduring this extra long summer cooped up with them LOL.

Ingredients
1 cup butter, room temperature
1 cup sugar
1/3 cup SILVER BLOSSOM HONEY
5 eggs
1 tablespoon grated orange zest
1 1/2 teaspoons orange juice

2 cups cake flour (not regular flour)
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 teaspoons fresh rosemary, finely chopped

    1. I usually gravitate towards lemon if I want a citrus cake, so I was pleasantly surprised with this one!

  2. It's a yes for oranges from me, a no for rosemary LOL The glaze must be very delish with orange in it!
I went to Novi Sad yesterday to my publishers (our bus broke in a middle of a scorching hot corn field and we had to wait there for hour an a half for another bus to come and rescue us) and I finally found a frosted glass tea mug :) I wanted to buy you one too, but they are quite heavy and I know you said you only like them light.

    1. It reminded me of cakes you get in London with the added rosemary. Not something I ever would have thought to do on my own, but it did taste like a posh dessert.

Yikes to getting stranded in the heat. That must have been hell for you! I know how you melt in the sun.

Hurray for your beautiful frosted mug. It looks like something I might have come across one day at Pier 1, but now that they are closed I need to find a new home goods store.

    2. It is so sad that it closed, we have a few factories that closed in my city during corona, most with owners from Italy, who just runaway and left workers without pay and future. The only good thing in this all shit is that my publisher actually had good online sales during corona, so there might be more work... at least I hope so.

    3. Hurray for good online sales. Jason said his online sales skyrocketed during the quarantine too. I suppose everyone had nothing better to do than online shop during this mess. Fingers crossed you have lots of new works lined up for the rest of the year!

    1. Thank you! Yes, that waterfall was amazing. There's another one I'll feature later that we came upon that people had their tents lined up along. I bet they slept like babies listening to the sounds of falls that night!

  6. I giggle every time I read or say "bundt cake" because of My Big Fat Greek Wedding. How can you say the word without mentally saying "It's a cake!" in a Greek accent. LOL This does look yummy. :)
