Happy Halloween 2016!

Forget all of the other holidays, for me, today marks the most wonderful time of the year! Since I'll be out celebrating, today's post is short and sweet. Some of you may remember the paper mache statues that one of the neighbors does. Here are last year's and this year's creations:

 Scooby Doo

Monsters of Halloween

Allison and my best friend's daughter. The costumes fit their personalities spot on. We have the insane Mad Hatter and bad ass Harley Quinn making a splash as they collect their Halloween candy. Oh, and isn't the bumble bee puppy the cutest thing ever!?

To those who celebrate, I'm wishing you a Happy and Safe Halloween!

    1. Honestly, this was the first year that she didn't get anything weird and we went on 3 different days in 3 different towns. I was shocked!

    2. wait, what? Kids go bothering people around the town ,not just in their neighbourhood? Even uknown kids come-a-knocking? Oh, my, I think I'd lock myself up on that night :)

    3. Sure! As long as they have their porch light on, it means they are welcoming the trick or treaters. We only get about 15 kids a year on our court, but it seems that a lot of people drove over to our neighborhood this year for candy since I was out of 60 full sized candy bars by the end of the night. Kids that live on busy highways or out in farm country need somewhere to to trick or treat too, so we always welcome them to come to our neighborhood, as do most other neighborhoods.

    4. that is nice about the farm kids.
Trick or treating would never succeed here, people are too poor, most wouldn't have money to buy their own kids candy bars (as those are expensive here) let alone for other kids. That did not, though, stop those nasty little pranksters (that threw an egg on my house last year) to cover up neighbour's fence with paper rolls... I swear I don't know where do they get the idea, nobody even knows it was Halloween here....

  9. How fun! I love this holiday! I love Allison's outfit. She looks great!

Mica's all excited about his Trump costume. My older sister was all against it. I think, "Whatever!" they're only young once. He's having fun with it. He's not a Trump lover.

    2. Rosey, I swear he starts on those months ahead of time. I saw him in his garage in early June putting them together. He'll do another set for Thanksgiving too, I believe. Last year was Wizard of Oz. I don't think I shared those pics on here though. I can't wait to see what else he has up his sleeve for this Thanksgiving!

    1. We had a ton here too. Normally we only get about 15 or so, but I went through 60 full sized candy bars before the night was over. It was crazy this year!

  16. Happy day after Halloween! Hope ya'll had fun! My daughter, son and neighbor all walked around our small neighborhood, then the girls didn't feel like going anymore. My son and I walked over the neighboring neighborhood - they had a lot more trick-or-treaters than us. We only got 17 people at our house this year, which is extremely low. :( LOVE the girls costumes!!
