Mariah will be moving to Colorado in July, Allison will be headed off to college in August, and I will be at home sad. But it will be a happy sad. I've done my best to give my girls the tools they need to spread their wings and fly, and now they are leaving the nest to follow their dreams and I couldn't be more happy sad if I tried. There's been a shift in my extended family too lately, it seems. Kids are growing up, starting their own families and moving away. We aren't all as together as we used to be and I find myself missing the crazy chaos of togetherness we all once shared. That's why this year I think it's more important than ever to give gifts with meaning.

We're all living in this digital age where it is so easy to snap a picture on our phones and share it with our loved ones within seconds. But I know many people are like me and have thousands upon thousands of photos stored in their phones, only to be lost in the abyss as more photos are added to the camera roll each day. So, I'll be giving the gift of practicality and togetherness this year with Nixplay Smart Frames

If you're a long time reader here, you'll know that I have been a HUGE fan of Nixplay Smart Frames for years. You can read some of my other posts about their frames HERE and HERE. I love being able to upload my photos to my frames, which is so easy to do!, and not have to fight myself to decide which photo can occupy wall space since I can gaze upon my favorites on a continuous loop all day long.

While I still use and absolutely adore my two previous Nixplay digital frames, this year I'll be gifting the newest frame to my loved ones, the Nixplay Smart Photo Frame 10" Touchscreen. A predecessor of the classic Nixplay Smart Photo Frame 10.1, this Smart Frame now has a touch panel, no remote control, and a new slick frame and stand design.

The frame is ready to go right out of the box. Set up is a snap and I had my photos uploaded and ready for viewing in under 10 minutes from start to finish. The 10 inch screen is big and bright and displays my photos from every angle. I really like the black frame and how it seamlessly blends with any of my home decor, but there are two other frame finish options: wood and white.

I LOVE that this is a touch frame and doesn't come with a remote because I am the absolute worst when it comes to keeping track of my remotes. Yes, my frame is magnetic and yes I know that the remote does stick to it so it never gets lost, but I've resigned myself to accepting that I am and always will be a hot mess when it comes to those things.  The new stand is a great added feature as well because it allows me to easily put my frame where I want it without any hassle on placement.

Just like with the other frames that I own and have gifted, my favorite feature is being able to upload photos to the frame, even when I'm miles (or states) away, and my loved ones can upload their photos directly to my frame no matter where they may be located as well. This is such a fun way to share pictures away from social media, keeping them private for only those you want to have access to the images. Because honestly, we could all use a little less social media sharing these days and more interactions just between those who really matter in your daily lives. That's what makes this the perfect gift for EVERYONE on your list this year. The frame makes it so easy to stay connected daily, even when you can't be together.

Nixplay Smart Photo Frame 10" Touchscreen plays with Google, Instagram, Facebook and Email. You can upload your photos via the Nixplay App found in both the Apple AppStore and Google Play. If you'd like to learn more about the frame specs, you can find those on the Nixplay website

In addition to the Nixplay Smart Photo Frame 10" Touchscreen, Nixplay offers other frames as well. And, bonus! Right now all frames are 25% off, making this the perfect time to stock up on digital frames for everyone in the family this year. What are you waiting for? Go get those Nixplay Digital Frames and be the winner of the gift giving this year!

  1. I’m not that familiar, but clicked the links to learn more. So you plug it in? What is the membership about?

    1. Yes, it plugs in. I am still patiently awaiting one that is battery operated, but the cord isn't really ever in the way so I'm not too worried about having one. You do not need a membership to work the frames. I personally do not have one for any of mine. You just get more storage, bigger video clips, member exclusive frames, lifetime warranty on the frame and special discounts on future frames and print services. Some people like the extras and don't mind the membership fee, but are like me and just need the frames for their basic functions.

    1. Idk yet. She’s gotten a few acceptance letters already, but she won’t hear from the one that she really wants until January, so she’ll make a decision then. Fingers crossed she gets Purdue since that’s where Mariah went and were already familiar with the campus and area.

    2. Probably something along the lines of psychology. She really needs to take the first year and do several different fields to narrow it down though. She's talked about wanting to be a pilot, and if that's the end goal, she needs to skip college and join the air force. As much as I'd hate for her to join the military, it would be the best way for her to learn while not racking up college expenses. Jason has a friend that learned from Air Force and just retired from flying planes for UPS, which paid very, very well I hear.

    1. Yes, you would probably need an adapter to use it in Turkey. Maybe they have something similar for you there?

  6. I have one to gift too! It's waiting to be wrapped and I'll give it to my daughter so she can have photos of her family running. I have one that goes way back to even before my kids were born, so there are a LOT of memories going across it and the kids love to see it when they come home to visit. Nixplay digital frames are an awesome gift idea! Congrats to your girls on their big moves. You've raised them to be successfully independent, and it sounds like you've done a wonderful job!

    1. Awe, thank you Rosey! Allison will be 18 in 2 days and I am all up in my feels lately.

I am sure your daughter is going to LOVE her digital frame. Especially with pics of her babies scrolling by for her to look upon all day long (I still think the Fresh Cut Flowers shoot was on of the cutest I've ever seen!)

  7. My in laws!! I actually got one for them this Christmas. Every time my children come over, they knock over their picture frames like a game of dominoes. Hopefully this allows them to condense. :)

Congratulations to your daughters! Colorado sounds like an exciting adventure. This frame will definitely make them seem less far away and vice versa.

    1. I had a little girl at my house this week and she had fun knocking all of mine over too. Condensing is a wonderful thing when you have littles running around all the time!

Thank you! I am sure they are going to love it in Colorado!

  9. Empty nest. Time for the farm to fill it back up lol

I always thought these would be great but I dislike that they have to be plugged in, kinda limits where you can stick them. They have neat features though indeed.

    1. Time for the farm indeed! Saw someone selling cows for $100 on Facebook and damn near bought them all. Then I remembered I only live on .25 of an acre and Jason would kill me, so that stopped me LOL.

I am still waiting for a battery operated frame, especially since my new kitty loves whacking the cord.

  10. I think I'd keep it myself. I've wanted one. We got my parents a fancy frame, and they don't even use it. It's on still all the time.
