Share Your Child’s #ClearPassion with Mott’s!

Disclosure: “The product, information, and gift card have been provided by Mott’s so that I could try the product and share my thoughts and information about Mott’s. The opinions expressed in this post are my own and do not reflect the opinions of Mott’s.”

As a mom, I've seen my girls try on many different hats over the years, trying to find that one thing that they are passionate about. From the time Allison was a toddler until her tween years, gymnastics was her "thing". While she had a good run in gymnastics, as her teen years started to approach, her interests started to shift. Since joining high school, she's been dipping her fingers into all the extracurricular pies to see what new passion she might just get hooked on next.

Theater was a big deal to her last year. She had a few minor roles in several school plays, and while she'll continue with that in the upcoming school year, this past year she also found a love for photography. I gave her a small camera to practice with last year on our European vacation, and since then she's graduated to using my more professional one. Of course, when she loves what she does and excels at it, I want to do everything that I can to keep encouraging her to chase her passions. A lot of women have "Instagram husbands", but she likes to brag that she's my "Instagram daughter". Any photos that you see of me on the blog or Instagram have been shot by Allison almost exclusively.

On our recent trip to New York, she had a blast snapping some iconic landmarks. I'm pretty sure she ended up taking more photos on this trip than I did!

Allison's actually looking forward to the start of the school year in a few weeks because she signed up for a photography course as one of her electives. Right now she's just having fun playing with landscapes, people, and nature, but she's hoping to hone her skills this year and find out what niche she'll be most passionate to shoot.

She did ask the other day when my end date for running this blog would be because she's eager to take over. I have no definite plans right now for my exit, but after she's finished her photography courses, be on the lookout for a few guests posts from her! She's eager to learn the ropes and is willing to put in the hard work it takes to pursue and excel at her passions.

With all that hard work, a girl does need to stop for a snack break though, and one snack that we can always agree on is applesauce!

Mott's Applesauce

Mott's® has been a staple in our house for as long as I can remember because it's a healthy snack option that I don't mind the kids reaching for. I'm pretty excited about their newest offering, brand new to shelves this summer are NEW clear applesauce pouches with matching, distinct characters for each applesauce variety who together form the Pouch Pals, a group of high-energy friends with distinct personalities and interests—from Crispin who is passionate about music to Seedney who loves to skateboard—making snacking as fun as it is delicious.

Motts Applesauce

Even though Mott's is a trusted brand in our house, I have even more peace of mind with the CLEAR pouches since I can see exactly what my children are consuming. They are convenient to take on the go while Allison's exploring her photography passion, and with the upcoming school year, they are the perfect size for tucking into lunch boxes, too.

New Mott’s® Clear Applesauce Pouches can be purchased in a variety of flavors and pack sizes beginning in July at the majority of retailers in the U.S. Flavors include:

   Mott’s® No Sugar Added Applesauce
Mott’s® No Sugar Added Mixed Berry Applesauce
Mott’s® No Sugar Added Strawberry Applesauce
Mott’s® No Sugar Added Blueberry Applesauce
Mott’s® No Sugar Added Cherry Applesauce

To celebrate the launch of the new pouches, Mott’s is giving parents a new reason to share their kids’ #ClearPassion. Parents can share a photo of their kid(s) pursuing their passions on social media for a chance to win free product, and five (5) lucky winners will be chosen to have their child’s passions amplified!

From July 22 to August 30, parents can submit photos of their kid(s) pursuing their passions via Twitter or Instagram by tagging @Motts and using #ClearPassion and #sweepstakes for a chance to win prizes that help amplify their kids’ personal passions. One grand prize winner will also receive a year’s supply of Mott’s for the family!

    1. It will be interesting to see if she goes the more Broadway route or the more Vogue route this year. It seems like those two hobbies are pulling her back and forth right now.

    1. Girl, you made me chuckle with this comment. Pulling the newspapers is a great hobby when you're a wee tot :)

    1. She is totally trying to steal it. I told her to start her own, but she likes the idea of having an established blog and social channels already set up. I did tell her we'd turn it into a collaboration blog before I hand the reigns over to her fully though.

  4. I do rather wonder if I have a kid, would they take up blogging and take over my legacy.

    Probably not.

    1. Probably not. It seems to be a dying platform. I will bet they will be hot on SnapChat or whatever new social media platforms pops up by then.

  5. Photography is a lot of fun. Looking forward to her future guest posts. Hoping you don't pass the torch anytime soon though. Too many people would miss ya (maybe she'll start her own blog someday, there's room for everyone!). :) We love applesauce here too.

    1. 5 years was always my goal, but I'm still chugging away after almost 10! I do feel a slow down coming on, but who knows if that feeling will pass or not. She's got a lot of maturing to do before I hand over the ropes though, so it won't be any time soon ;)

Applesauce is such a yum snack. My favorite has always been cinnamon, but she's all about plain.

  6. She looks like she's enjoying photography. I think Isaak would enjoy that more than Mica. Drawing is what Isaak's most passionate about. Reading is Mica's passion.
