Back To School Giveaway!

We knew summer couldn't last forever, but why did it have to go by so fast!? On Tuesday we'll be driving Mariah down to college, and on Wednesday we're back to the hustle and bustle of middle school life with Allison. I still have quite a bit of back-to-school shopping to do, so I better get on it, right? Are you a last minute bts shopper too? If so, don't worry! I've got you covered with the giveaway I'm hosting today. Enter to win a $15 Amazon gift card to help with your last minute bts shopping needs!

The giveaway is open to all and ends 8/21/17. Winner will have 24 hours to respond to winning email before a new winner is selected. Please enter on the giveaway widget below. Good Luck!

  3. OMG I can't believe Mariah is leaving home! We've known each other for so many years now and I watched them ladies growing up, I can't believe time flies so quickly! I will need tissues!
When is Ally moving into Mariah's room :) I'm sure she already has cunning plans boiling in her head :) Which grade is she now? She's not yet high school, right?

    1. Allison has to wait another year before she can start making cunning room thieving plans since Mariah will be back 3 weeks at Christmas and again all next summer. Next school year she'll probably be doing her internships through pharmaceutical companies, maybe even out of the country, so she won't be home much and then Allison can swipe her room.

This is Ally's last year in middle school (starts 8th grade) then high school will be next year. Time really does fly. Seems like I was just posting about their elementary days :(

    2. Oooh, I did not know exactly what Middle School meant, that is why I asked.
Forgot to ask is Shaggy at the same university as her? And how is Papa Jason coping with his firstborn leaving the nest?

    3. The elementary is usually through 4th or 5th grade, then they move on to middle school through 8th. High school here is typically 9th through 12th. Yes, Shaggy is going to the same university, but he's starting a week later. He'll be doing computer sciences where she'll be focused more in biochemistry and medical sciences. Papa Jason is now counting down the days until Allison moves out and we are kid free lol. He's pretty excited for her and is already scoping out their dining court menus to go down and have lunch date visits. She'll be home again for Thanksgiving, so it is a bit weird we won't see her for months now. She's never been away from home more than 2 days so it will take some getting used to.

    4. Ooooh, she won't be coming back on weekends? I used to come back home from college every other weekend, but I was a two hour train drive from home. I would get so hungry during those two weeks that I just had to come back home to eat at least something, not that moma would prepare anything, but still :)

  12. I can't believe it's time for school already...it seems like summer just started! I am completely a last minute shopper - I do have supplies, but not a stitch of new clothes for either of my kids. My mom bought them new shoes, so they are set there...I need to get out this weekend and get a few items. School starts here next Tuesday (the day after the eclipse), so I still have a little time.

    1. We're dropping our daughter off at college tomorrow and she's still coming up with a list of stuff she needs. Ugh! The little one isn't so pressing since she won't be 3 hours away, but you'd think the college age student would have already had their stuff together lol

    2. I'll be thinking of you today - I know it's going to be a bittersweet day dropping of your baby at college! Good luck on getting everything on the list. One positive - she's old enough to be able to go out and get any missing items. ;)

    3. Thank you! We got her all set up and was in an out in under an hour. She texted us tonight that she's already making friends so that's good. She also said they are planning a school trip to Walmart tomorrow night so all the kids can get a feel for how to get there on the city bus and be able to buy anything else they still need. Bittersweet day for sure, but we are pretty excited for her new adventures.
