We've done a lot of remodel projects to our home the past few years which have kept us pretty busy. In addition to the few that I've shown here, last summer Jason also decided to tackle ripping out our old deck and building a larger one in its place. It took up a lot of our summer, which really irritated me at the time, but now that the warm weather is finally here again, I love walking out onto that deck with plans of relaxing with a good book and a light snack. A good book, a cup of tea and some refreshing snacks are all this girl needs to be happy. This Broiled Pink Grapefruit is one of my favorite snacks to eat outside on a warm spring day, and thankfully now that the deck is complete I can stop being irritated and start enjoying the fruits of Jason's labor.
Pink Grapefruit is a light and refreshing breakfast or snack, and I like that it's a cinch to prepare. The addition of Golden Blossom Honey drizzled over the wedges adds a really pleasant touch of sweetness!
Ingredients
2 large grapefruit
2 Tablespoons GOLDEN BLOSSOM HONEY

I've never had grapefruit, I usually just stick with oranges
ReplyDeleteWhat's a broiler, deary?
ReplyDeleteI used to squeeze me a grapefruit or two every day before for years but had to stop when I started taking my heart pills :( I think I love pomelo most, the big green grapefruit?
The broiler is usually located at the top of your oven. The part that gets really hot. You set your rack to the highest position, then the outer part of the food gets cooked super quickly, usually in about 5 minutes.
DeleteI don't think I've ever had a pomelo before. I'm not sure if our stores carry them. We did get a new farmers market recently, so I'll have to check to see if I can find those there.
I lurv them because they're sweet and taste more like sweet lemon than bitter grapefruit :) But they're either awfully expensive or extremely big (some of them can be as big as a melon).
DeleteSure getting your house all brand spankin new. Cashews are my go to.
ReplyDeleteIsaak loves grapefruit. I often times split one with him. This looks good!
