Our Halloween Party!

We just had our annual Halloween Party on Saturday. This year the weather didn't feel like cooperating with us, so we had to move the activities indoors. We still had a blast!

Good Halloween Food:

halloween, candy, frankenstein, ghost, skeleton
Aren't these chocolate covered marshmallows cute?

spider, colored
Cute eggs my friend brought.
halloween, almond nails,
Sugar cookies! Look gross, taste yum!

Fun Games:

Great Job On The Mummy Wrap Kids!

And of course, Pumpkin Decorating! It was fun watching the kids really get into their decorating again this year. I think every kid chose one of the witch hats I made them to spruce up their pumpkins! Some even added poms and pipe cleaners to the hats to give them more flare!

Whew, what fun, but I am exhausted! Did you throw or go to a Halloween Party this year? What was your favorite part?

    1. I would say throw your own, but after the hard work you put into Emma's Bday party, you are probably not in the mood for another round of doing it all lol :)

    1. Thank you! Yes, I made the marshmallows. They are super easy to do too! Took all of 5 minutes with some white chocolate, food coloring and a tube of black decorators gel.

    1. Lynn, My secret to working with melted chocolate or those Wilton candy melts is to use a lot of Crisco. I buy the butter flavor because everything tastes better with butter lol, but I am sure any is fine. I like to get the chocolate really thin, that way it coats easier. Then if you want to layer another color on top, make sure you let the second pot of chocolate cool way down before dipping or your colors will melt together. Good luck next year. If you decide to make more I would love to see them!

    1. Well, I can't complain. This is the first time it's rained in the 4 years we have had the party. It just stinks because Sunday it was 65 degrees out and sunny lol. Why couldn't it have been that way the day before?

  5. I love the sugar cookie fingers!!! I have seen the fingers but they were made out of cheese. Yours was a much better idea though. How did you do them? I would love a tutorial on that :-)

    1. It's really easy. It's just a basic sugar cookie dough. Shape them into fingers. They key here is to make them VERY thin or when they bake they will spread and you will then have ogre fingers lol. Before baking, brush them with some cocoa powder or hot chocolate mix and use a slivered almond for nail. That's all there is to it!

    1. Yes! They are like cake pops. The day after our party my husband saw a cake pop maker and asked if that was what I made lol.
