I know summer isn't technically over yet, but I have been feeling a nip in the air lately and that means fall isn't too far off now. Labor Day is right around the corner and for us, that marks the unofficial start of fall in my house. But, let's not get ahead of ourselves too much. There's still a few more weeks of warm weather, giving us a little more time to indulge in summertime favorites, like ice cream, before it's pumpkin spice this and apple, caramel, cranberry that. My girls love ice cream, and while we'll sometimes pull out the ice cream machine, I usually like to stick with food that doesn't require a lot of effort, so I'm always on the lookout for no-churn ice cream recipes. I stumbled upon this Honey Nut Ice Cream on Golden Blossom Honey last week when I was actually looking for a different recipe and knew it was something we HAD to make before the end of summer.

Honey Nut Ice Cream

Whipping up this sweet little delight couldn't be easier. All you need is a blender, a measuring cup and a pan, and in 4 hours you have scrumptious ice cream waiting to be devoured. It's really that simple. No bulky machine, no ice, no rock salt to mess with. Just a few ingredients and kitchen tools and you're all set. Don't let summer slip by without making your own homemade ice cream! Especially when it's this easy and tasty!

Ingredients
2 cups heavy whipping cream
1 (7 or 8 ounce) container marshmallow creme
1/3 cup GOLDEN BLOSSOM RAW HONEY
1 cup pecans, or nuts of your choice

  2. Ooh, I've seen those cute icecreamcone cups at Gloria's too :) I think she has blue ones.
Looks nom, did they all go nuts for the nuts icecream? :)
We've had a cherry cream icecream lolly this summer from our main producer and it was my fave, it was covered with cherry/white chocolate with cherry icecream in the middle and pieces of cherries too.

    1. Aren't those cones so cute!? I bought them for $1 each last year, but am just now getting around to breaking them out and putting them to use.

Cherry ice cream is one of my favorites. I hope you indulged in it as often as you could! Blueberry too, but that one is so hard to find around here for some reason. One store used to carry a blueberry flavor one, but sadly I can't find it there anymore.

    2. We don't have blueberry ones, I think, but I don't often visit fridges with popsicles so I wouldn't really know LOL I know I've seen pear icecream in a cup somewhere, but the shop is to far for me to carry it back all the way home without melting :( We do have raspberry ones and also some very cheap ones done as frozen fruit smoothies in the form of a popsickle, I've tried the one with strawberrybanana :)

  5. That sounds absolutely delicious and very refreshing for this time of year! The heat has been brutal and continues to be so. I'm a little jealous that yours is tapering off as Autumn is my favorite season of the year. :)

    1. Wanna house swap!? I live for hot, sweaty summer days. I do like crisp days too, but not until late October or even November.

  6. I haven't really tried a flavor I didn't like. I suppose if it was pickle ice cream it may be a little odd. This looks good!

    1. Chocolate is one I actually pass on, which is weird because I am a chocoholic. I just could never get on board with chocolate ice cream though :(

  8. Sure sounds like a winner and with ease too. Uncle Pattie has been asked to get ice cream now and then and it is clear Uncle Pattie doesn't know what he is doing lol but they eat what they get.

    1. I'm sure every time Uncle Pattie pulls out the ice cream, he's a real hero to the poop machines. Kids will eat any ice cream flavor because...well, it's ice cream. And who (except you) could say no to it, no matter what the flavor is. :)
