Allison's Top 50 Easter Basket Filler Picks for Teen Girls

Around this time of the year, I get a lot of traffic from an older Easter basket filler post that's popular on Pinterest. It's a few years outdated, so I thought it would be fun to have Allison offer up some new suggestions for what's trending in the world of teen girls these days. I originally asked her to come up with around 20 things, but she's quite the little shopper and sent me over links for 50 of her favorite finds. If you are looking for more inspiration, she said feel free to check out her Wanelo account (ajmhorse), but I will warn that not everything she has listed may be considered appropriate for gift giving. All of the products listed below are priced at under $30, so these suggestions won't break the bank. So, without further ado, here are Allison's Top 50 Easter Basket Picks for Teen Girls.

What are your kids asking for this Easter?

  1. Oooh that cat headband would look so good on moi :)
Love me the watch, the nightlights, the colouring books...
The mermaid scale leggings are gorgeous, but I'd never let a kid wear them, any leggings and shorts, not just this one. Kids need discipline with what they're wearing in public. But I'm one of those teachers that would never let kids go to school in Disney outfits either, because school ain't a catwalk for promoting brands :(

Hooray for Ally! I bet she had fun writing the post, you should let her do it more often. I also bet it was hell sticking all these pics into photos for the post :))) and putting in linkydinkys too!

    1. Yes, you would look absolutely purrrfect in that cat headband ♥

I have a little mermaid bathing suit that is made of the same fish scale material as the leggings that I adore. The kids here aren't allowed to wear any kind of leggings to school or tight fitting jeans or shorts & skirts above the knee or their parents have to bring them new clothes to school. Allison just loves to wear them around the house when she's lounging with the family.

Allison swindled one of those Poppin' Cookin' Candy Making Sets from the post above for her "payment" in helping me with this post, but if this one is as popular as the last gift guide, I may have her do another around Christmas :) We'll see if she's up for any other type of guest postings this summer when she has more free time.

  2. These are all great ideas! I got the boys smaller Lego sets. Mica will probably be disappointed. It's not one on his list. It's a robot that has 3 configurations. I'm sure he was expecting something Star Wars. Not going to happen. They are getting fidget toys (that's the reason I've been reviewing them). Then Mostly chocolate candy. Isaak can't eat jelly beans with his stay space retainer.

    1. Allison does say those fidget cubes are a hit with kids their age, so I think the boys will really enjoy getting then in their baskets this year. I hated having to monitor the sticky candy when Mariah had her braces, so I feel you on the retainer. Allison is lined up to get braces this year, so we'll have another 2 years of food monitoring coming up soon. Ugh!

    2. My son just had me order him a fidget cube with a gift card he got from Christmas. The arrival time was something like March 15 - April 12 because it wasn't PRIME eligible - he's been driving me up a wall asking when it will get here! I keep telling him just expect it April 12th! Haha!

    3. Oooh, I hate that when it's not Prime eligible and you never know when it will arrive. We bought some gifts from eBay in early October that were supposed to be Christmas gifts. Figured they would arrive before the holidays. Nope. We had 3 show up in January. Freakin' October order and stuff still doesn't come for 3 months! Insane! Hope your cube arrives before the expected arrival date. Waiting sucks!

    4. Ugh - that's the worst. Marshall wanted to dress up as Dipper from Gravity Falls for Halloween last year - simple outfit...all we needed was the bright orange shirt. I ordered it weeks before, and no shirt. The night before Halloween we ran out to Walmart in the hopes of finding a shirt...we did, so we purchased it. When I got home from work on Halloween the package had arrived. So - now we have two orange shirts. Murphys law, right - however, if I had not gone to Walmart to buy the backup shirt, it probably wouldn't have arrived. LOL!

    5. I'm glad you found a shirt at Walmart for a replacement. If that were me, we would have drove to every store in the area, wouldn't have found an orange shirt, then the shirt we ordered would have arrived the day after we needed it. That's how it usually rolls over here. I have the worst luck!

  3. They are all sure great ideas to fill a basket for many indeed. I had to look at what the heck a fidget cube was.

Must have been a royal pain in the backside to get all the images and links in.

    1. About half way through I was wondering what the hell I got myself into. Those photos and links were a pain in the backside and took a lot longer than I anticipated to pull it all together :(

  5. I love the cat headbands -my daughter has one, but it's got little black flowers lining the whole thing. They have a huge variety of cat headbands at Hot Topic (my daughter's favorite store). As for what my kids are asking for...so far nothing. I'll figure out something - we still have a couple weeks.

    1. Allison has that same headband from Hot Topic, but her flowers are turquoise. She wears it so much that it started to unravel at the bottom. HT is her favorite store too and we spend far too much money there. I'm sure you do too lol

    2. My daughter says when she turns 16 Hot Topic is where she wants to work, so she can get the store discount! She said its the perfect store for angsty teens! Ha! We do spend way too much in there - my daughter is good about saving up her money, and will divide it between items from Hot Topic, FYE and BAM. I fear going into any one of those three stores, because we never leave empty handed - and it never fails, her money runs out, and I end up chipping in.

    3. I think your daughter and my daughter would be best friends. Mine also said she wants to work at Hot Topic, but also have a side job at Starbucks for the discount. Funny enough, our Hot Topic store manager also works at Starbucks. Allison says he's living the dream bwhahaha!

  14. Wow! So many different suggestions for an Easter basket for a teen. I would save this post and maybe I could use the same ideas for a Christmas basket too. I have a niece who is going to be a teenager in a few months and I think she'll love to see these things in her Easter basket!

  19. Those were great gift ideas for teens and I have one who would want a lot of them. It is amazing that the lava lamp and similar styled presents are still popular.

  20. Who is that grown girl in the picture and where did she put your young daughter????????????????????? Ha! It's like she just grew up overnight!! Her choices are spot on over here for my teen and my son's girlfriend who is early 20's. Those cat headbands I haven't seen, but all the girls would like those over here!

    1. I know. She's growing so fast! *sniff, sniff* You should see her when she puts makeup on. Breaks my heart to see she's not a baby anymore. Those cat headbands are all the rage here these days. I see girls running around with them on all the time.
