How I Keep My LBD On Point For Date Night #SavingStyleAtWM

This post is sponsored by Degree Women but the content and opinions expressed here are my own.

Now that the girls are older and don't need a sitter, Jason and I are finally able to go out on date nights more frequently. For almost 20 years, our dates consisted of hitting up Target and grabbing a quick bite at the nearest fast food joint while his parents watched the kids for a few hours each Sunday. Now, date nights consist of having a meal at a sit down restaurant with actual waitresses and fold out menus a few times a month. Yippee! Because I never had a need to dress up fancy, unless we were attending a wedding or funeral, my wardrobe mainly consisted of blue jeans and tee shirts. But now that I have an excuse, I have been buying up as many dresses as I can get my hands on. After being a mom all day long, it feels good to get gussied up every once in a while and feel like not just a mom, but a wife my husband can be proud to be seen around town with.

While I now have a wide assortment of dresses packed into my closet, like most women I am a firm believer that we should all own at least one little black dress. The LBD is an essential wardrobe staple because you can wear it practically anywhere and still be in style, it goes with every color of shoe, and you can pair it with virtually any accessory to keep your look as simple or styled as you like. I find that I pull out my LBD more than any of the others for date night.

Little Black Dress

The LBD can make a woman feel confident and sexy, but one thing that can make that confidence come crashing down is getting to your destination and realizing your deodorant left white marks all over your dress. There's nothing fun about having to rush to the ladies room to try to scrub those white marks off with a damp paper towel! Thankfully, I no longer have to worry about white marks on my black dresses because I have a new secret weapon for date night- Degree UltraClear Black + White Antiperspirant Deodorant Dry Spray.

Degree UltraClear Black + White Antiperspirant Deodorant Dry Spray

Degree UltraClear Black + White Antiperspirant Deodorant Dry Spray helps prevent white marks on black clothing and prevents yellow stains on white clothing. UltraClear Black + White Antiperspirant Deodorant Dry Spray sprays on instantly dry for a cleaner feel. I LOVE that because that means no more waiting around for your wet armpits to dry before getting dressed.

Degree UltraClear Black + White Antiperspirant Deodorant Dry Spray

Degree UltraClear Black + White Antiperspirant Deodorant Dry Spray is dermatologist-tested and alcohol free. It offers up to 48 hours of protection against wetness and odor, and its Motionsense Technology releases bursts of extra protection whenever you move. What more could you ask for in a deodorant!?

With UltraClear Black + White Antiperspirant Deodorant Dry Spray, I feel clean, fresh and confident every time I toss on my LBD for date night! You can find new Degree UltraClear Black + White Antiperspirant Deodorant Dry Spray at your nearest Walmart in the health and beauty section, where antiperspirants and deodorants are sold.

  1. Sure sounds like the way to go to avoid a white mark show. LBDs are a win too, for me to oogle at at least.

    1. Once you and Daisy have kids, you'll know what's date night. I'd say your movies and bowling count!

  3. OMG you is such a babe in that mirror dress! Hollywood starlet indeed :P
Why is Rexona called Degree over there?
Never understood why they change the names of some labels in different countries, I know that famous Fairy dishwash detergent is called Pur in many countries... go figure, but did not know Rexona is Degree over there.
I do prefer their stick deodorants, they don't stop the sweat in my case, but they do cover up the smell nicely.
Wish you did a full dress photo, so that we could see how it looks on you!

    2. I noticed a lot of our brands had different names in Canada too. I don't know why companies do that. Maybe for different marketing purposes? Jason has to have a prescription deodorant because he is a heavy sweater. He has to alternate between that and a regular stick every other day.
I am sunburnt on my legs from overstaying at the beach on Sunday, so I wasn't trying to show off that hot mess. I might take that dress to Europe, though I haven't decided. I'll get lots of shots there in my dresses, I'm sure.

  4. We used to go out on Sat nights with our boys in that leadership camp. Now they aren't in it. It feels like it's been a long time. Mica stays home with Isaak during the days, but I'm not sure about nights yet. We'll have to talk about it.

You look good! I hope you had fun.

    1. It took a long time before I'd leave the girls home alone for a few hours at night. Now that Allison is 14, I feel that's a good age. I guess it just depends on their maturity level and if you think they can hold down the fort for 2 hours while you go out to a movie or dinner.

  5. I'd love to see more pics of you in that dress! :) Here's to more wonderful date nights alone with hubby... I can't wait until my girl is old enough to be left alone at home too haha. Always feel kinda guilty and rushed whenever we have to trouble someone to look after her, even if it's family.

    1. I know what you mean about having to rush back. I always felt bad for feeling selfish about wanting a little bit of time alone without the kids, but us adults do deserve a night out every now and again.

  11. It is nice to know that there are deodorants/anti-perspirants that do not stain clothing. I apply deodorant and wait for it to dry before I put on my clothes. However, my kids are so impatient they can't possibly do as I do. I will have to get them this Degree. No more ugly underarm stains on their shirts from now on!

  12. I have used Degree for decades! Started using it after having my first child. My old deodorant had stopped working for me. Never looked back!
