Happy Halloween Month! For me, it's the most wonderful time of the year. I pulled out my holiday decor and got all set up over the weekend, then dug out the dog's Halloween costumes and let them have a little superhero fun in the backyard for a bit.

These two crime fighters are always trying to sniff out the bad guy. They have no problem chasing a kitty (squirrel) up a tree, keep a watchful eye on the neighbors, or chase each other all over the yard on a slow day. Nothing keeps you on your toes like a little backyard brawl with your sibling, right? Even though superheros don't get paid cash money, just like the rest of us, they do appreciate a tasty reward for their valiant deeds. What better way to say thanks than with Wellness®?

Wellness for Dogs

Halloween is all about tasty treats, and while we do tend to splurge on a few unhealthy snacks this time of the year, I make sure my dogs get nothing but the best. Wellness® takes a holistic approach to their pet food and treats, focusing on real ingredients that offer real benefits for pets. CORE® RawRev High-Protein Kibble pieces are crafted using freeze-dried pieces of 100% lean meat. You won't find any carbs or fillers here.

As tasty as the food is, nothing motivates the boxers like a yummy "cookie". They live for dog treats! And with Halloween almost upon us, wouldn't we also like to spoil our four-legged babies with a few pumpkin flavored snacks too?

  1. Chasing a kitty err umm squirrel up a tree. How rude lol They sure look to be having a grand time. Treats are always a win as the Halloween Nazi is in full steam now. The cat would eat any costume I tried to make him wear, along with my hand.

  2. What? Where's the old missus? The audience demands more of the deaf old bat!
Funny how you did not decorate the blog at all, deary, maybe a pumpkin instead of the flower in the title? No? :)
One is almost tempted to try them doggie biscuits oneself the way they're packed better than human food in third world countries LOL :)

    1. The old missus passed away while we were on vacation in July. We are still having a difficult time coming to terms with it, but she was with the father-in-law when she went, so I am glad she wasn't alone :(

I'm being lazy with the blog. I've been meaning to organize the recipes and update post pictures all year, but just don't have the time or desire to mess with it with everything else that's been going on.

They sure are tasty looking treats. Allison used to have a habit of stealing the dog food when she was little (around 2 or 3). I'd catch her sitting in front of the t.v. with the bowl in front of her, happily munching away. We still tease her about it to this day lol

    2. Whaaaat? :(((( Why wasn't I informed, you know she was my fave :( How are the other two coping without her?

    3. I know she was your fave. Everyone loved her. She was even the star of Mariah's school newspaper last year because the editor and photographer loved her so much. I just hate to be the bearer of bad news so we didn't make a fuss about it publicly :( The other two don't even realize she is gone. She never really interacted with them other than to steal their body heat in the winter. Other than that, she kept to herself and slept in her bed most hours of the day. We knew it was about time to say goodbye, but we figured she'd at least make it through the winter.
