Even though Valentine's Day has come and gone, I look at all of February as the month of love. And, during the month of love I do enjoy sitting down with a hot cup of tea, a few leftover holiday chocolates, and a fun, romantic movie. Earlier this week, after dropping the girls off at school, I took some time to enjoy the new film 1 Night. It's got a little romance, a little drama, and a little comedy all rolled into one. Who could ask for more?
1 Night takes a look at what makes and what keeps a relationship alive. When past and present collide, two couples explore love over the course of one night at a hotel. Thirty-something Elizabeth (Anna Camp- Pitch Perfect) must decide whether to salvage her marriage to Drew (Justin Chatwin- Shameless) after much personal disappointment. Meanwhile, Bea (Isabelle Fuhrman) reconnects with her introverted childhood friend, Andy (Kyle Allen), to overcome their difference in high school status following their senior prom.
I thought the story was beautifully told through the four characters, with first love butterflies all the way through the emotions of a long-term relationship. As one who married her high school sweetheart, it was easy for me to relate to all of the characters equally.
1 Night is a film that shows that love can happen any time. It's a lovely watch for new and old couples alike. 1 Night is now available in select theaters & ON DEMAND. Grab your honey and make 1 Night part of your date night plans soon!
