XOXO ♥ Valentine's Day Giveaway

I'm going to admit it- Valentine's Day isn't one of my favorite holidays. Now, I do like to decorate for the holiday because any excuse to make the house look all frilly and girly isn't something I can easily pass up, even if Jason only lets me get away with it for a few weeks out of the year. I refuse to go overboard on the gifting for Valentine's Day, but I do like to get my loved ones a little something for the holiday. They say the happiest people are the givers, not the getters, and I find this to be so true. So, keeping with the giving theme, I'm hosting a Valentine's Giveaway for all of you fabulous people ♥

The giveaway is for a $15 Amazon Gift Card to (1) lucky Theresa's Mixed Nuts reader. The giveaway is open worldwide and will end 2/3/17. The winner will have 24 hours to respond to winning email before a new winner is selected. Please enter on the giveaway widget below.

  1. I've never been a big Valentine's fan either - we usually get each other a card, and I buy the kids a little something - I usually get a box of chocolate from Mark, but we don't go overboard. We will usually try to have a nice dinner - whether it's eating out, or just splurging and fixing something nice at home. (Usually the latter, because Mark isn't keen on fighting crowds at restaurants on holidays). LOL!

    1. I usually buy myself a bag of Lindor truffles and tell Jason that's what he got me lol. I don't blame Mark for not wanting to go out. We live in the restaurant district of our town and it's insane how busy it gets on Valentine's Day! Almost worse than Black Friday!

  2. Yeah, let's be all lovey dovey one day when we should show it to our partner all year, or at least most of the year as they will piss us off sometimes lol pffft stupid Hallmark day. But doesn't mean one can't have a great giveaway.

    1. I agree! I prefer to get the lovely dovey stuff spontaneously throughout the year. Not because the calendar says so.

    1. You totally should Alissa! Jason gets Mariah a box of Star Wars chocolates and Allison a box of Minions chocolates each year because neither of them are fans of those characters. It's all in good fun though because they don't care what's on the box, they just want the candy inside anyway :)

    1. That is so sweet that you still get the older kids candies! I'm not sure if I'd be thrilled to have my birthday on Valentine's Day. It seems that you'd be fighting to get a seat at a restaurant each year. But Chinese and a movie at home sounds like a better way to spend the day anyway :)

    1. No thank you! Our restaurants get so crowded and then after waiting over an hour for a table to free up, we usually get stuck in a terrible spot, like by the front door where all the cold air blows in making the whole experience miserable! I prefer to stay home and make my own food and watch a movie with the family.

  18. I watch romantic comedies all year long (yeah, I'm butch!), so I don't really need Valentine's Day to remind me to do something special for the Missus. Does that make sense? Anyway, I guess I don't like the commercial side of it all that much.
