You'll SING© for Greek Yogurt Cereal Donuts #PostfortheHolidays

One of our favorite family traditions during the holiday season is to have movie marathons. There are so many good movies, old and new, this time of year, we try to squeeze in as many as we can before Christmas hits. When we have movie night at home, we always have snacks on hand, usually trying to coordinate the snack to the theme of the movie we are watching. If we are heading out to the theater, we'll make special treats to enjoy leading up to the day of the movie to get the girls extra excited about our family outing. With all of the hustle and bustle that the season brings, it's just a nice way for us to slow things down a bit and have fun together as as family.

We've been anxiously awaiting the arrival of the new movie SING©, which will be released in theaters on December 21, 2016. The movie will feature cute animals, fun songs sung by mega-stars, and lots of humor. Just what we need to break from the chaos of the holiday. To get the girls geared up for the movie, I decided to whip up some tasty breakfast "donuts" inspired by the movie.

Greek Yogurt Cereal Donuts

These donuts are made with Greek yogurt, Honey Bunches of Oats® cereal, and a few sprinkles. Simply mix Greek Yogurt with Honey Bunches of Oats® and sprinkles, fill some donut molds, freeze, then eat!

Keeping with the animal theme from SING©, I top them off with iced animal cookies and a touch of whipped cream and a few more sprinkles.

  6. This is a great snack. I've just put frozen yogurt in molds before, but it didn't have the cereal. The added cereal adds so much and makes it easier to eat I'm sure.

  14. This looks like something the kids will love. My favorite Holiday tradition is when we all get together to watch Christmas movies in Christmas Eve. Now that the kids are in College it is extra special.

  17. How creative! I never would have thought to try something like that. Super love!

Holiday traditions? We take a drive to see the lights, hit Celebration for the fake snow, and have an Indian feast plus a late night movie. Leading up to that, we try to watch one classic Christmas movie a week, go caroling, participate in a Christmas program, and attend at least 3 to 5 Christmas parties. If only I could cut out all the cleaning and cooking so we could just play for the month, eh?
