Why is it that sometimes oral care can seem like such a chore for kids? What's so hard about brushing for 2 minutes in the morning and 2 minutes before bed? I feel like I am constantly on Allison, asking "Did you brush your teeth?" Usually, the answer is a huffy no, followed by feet dragging to the bathroom to rush through the process. I'm usually a pretty laid back mom, but when it comes to oral care, I don't negotiate. I will nag to no end until it's done. I've been trying to brainstorm on what I could do to encourage her to want to brush her teeth without me having to huff and puff about it, and I found the solution with hello

hello

hello offers naturally friendly products in a wide variety of kid approved flavors. Allison was intrigued to see toothpastes that strayed away from the bland tasting pastes we've tried in the past. Bubble Gum, Natural Watermelon, Blue Raspberry, and Mojito Mint flavors grabbed her attention pretty quick, she couldn't wait to try them all! And, I admit, I couldn't wait to try them for myself as well!

hello oral care

The fruity flavored pastes are truly bursting with flavor and taste incredible! We haven't had to remind Allison to brush once since we put these in the bathroom.

Besides the delicious taste, what makes hello different from other pastes on the market? hello is naturally friendly, made with ingredients parents feel good about. The formulations are free of dyes, artificial sweeteners, parabens, triclosan, or microbeads. The fluoride pastes are ADA accepted and clinically proven to strengthen teeth and prevent cavities. For those with small children who may swallow the paste or if you don't dig fluoride, there are also several fluoride-free and SLS-free options: Natural Watermelon and Sweet Mint.

Something else that I LOVE about hello is their commitment to producing naturally friendly products. From bpa-free and phatalate-free tubes that don't crinkle, to recycled boxes that are printed with soy ink, and the toothbrushes feature handles made from 50% recycle material, they certainly are eco-friendly!

Additionally, hello products are Leaping Bunny certified and have earned PETA's Beauty without Bunnies cruelty-free and are vegan certified.

You can find hello products at many major retailers, like Walmart, Target, Rite Aid, Wegmans, Walgreens and Amazon. If you would like to learn more, visit hello-products.com.

What are some tips you use to encourage your children to brush regularly?

  1. Wait, what? There's a blue raspberry tooth paste? What heavenly berry bliss is that? I do love flavoured tooth pastes, but for some reason they no longer sell them here. We had a green apple one which I adored and a lemon one, and now just one with honey aroma. And sometimes I managed to find a red grapefruit one from Germany in my fave drug store. I can only imagine what aromas you have over there!

    2. Honestly, we don't have too many flavored options here. I think it was Crest who tried to do some fun flavored ones not too long ago. We tried their chocolate mint and Jason immediately chucked it into the trash. They just weren't good! These, on the other hand, taste exactly how they sound and we like them a lot.

As for the bathroom, I am still slowly working on it. Jason had to touch up some drywall, so I need to go back over it and paint those patches and the doors, and then it's done. I still need to find a nice shelf and photo for the wall too, but haven't got out to look for one yet. Hopefully, I'll have photos for you in the next week or two :)

I'll head to Blue's shortly. I've been short on time this week and haven't been making the blog rounds like I normally do. Can't wait for spring break to be over!

  2. Lil Pumpkin doesn't mind brushing but she is sad a horrible morning person (like her mum hah!) it really feels like such a chore in the morning. Having fun flavours like these might make it more enjoyable. I like the clean packaging too!

    1. Can't blame Lil Pumpkin. I hate mornings too. Allison is a real pain at night for some reason. I'm always having to call her out of her room to remind her to get it done.

    1. Maybe once they go through the pain of a cavity getting filled, it might sink in. Though, I hope we never get to that point lol

  8. I love this! I read the other day that other toothpastes use polishing beads that actually wear away your teeth!

  9. I love the idea of using an all-natural toothpaste. I've heard too many stories about the chemicals that seem to be in everything these days.

  12. I really should switch to a natural toothpaste. As long as it has flouride, I think I'll be okay and feel better!

  16. I don't usually have a problem getting them to brush. I do try and have them go 1 at a time. Together they just mess around. At times I buy them fun brushes. For Christmas they got Star Wars toothbrushes.
