I'm here! I'm here! I've received a few messages asking if all is well since I haven't been around much since the first of the year. Your concern really warms my heart! I decided that after the holidays I needed some down time, mostly to recharge and to get my thoughts and home organized. I plan to be back into full swing next month, when we wrap up a few projects we've been working on around the house. We've been quite the busy bees over here! We kicked off the year with updating Allison's bedroom. We removed the glaring pink paint for a more tween appropriate green/blue, and then updated the rest of her room decor. Here's a little sneak. And, yes, we did put the kid to work, too.

For the past few weeks, I've been wrapped up in renovating our master bathroom. Jason left all the tile work on my plate, and it's been a long, slow process

I'm dirty. I'm sore. But, most all, I'm EXHAUSTED! At the end of the day, I just want to shower, then crawl into bed for some much needed sleep. After spending all day caked in mud and grout, I deserve a good night's sleep! The first step in feeling relaxed is to make sure I am sliding into the most comfortable bed possible. That's why I keep Mellanni Fine Linens on my bed.

Mellanni sheets

These sheets are so soft and luxurious, I feel pampered as soon as I crawl into bed and am asleep moments later. Made of 100% brushed microfiber, this is the most comfortable sheet set I've ever owned. They remind me of sheets that you would find on the beds in high-end hotels. You know the sheets I'm talking about. The ones where you don't want to leave the bed, then seriously contemplate shoving them in your suitcase before you checkout. Now, you don't have to risk a run-in with hotel security. Just snap up a set (or three) of these Mellanni sheets. Priced at just $35 a set, they don't break the bank, giving you luxurious sheets without the high-end price tag.

The linens are easy care, wrinkle resistant, and hypoallergenic. I have a heated mattress pad on my bed, but don't have any issues with the set fitting over that perfectly. No bunching or slipping off the bed. The pillowcase embroidery is simple, yet classy.

When I have them on my bed, I notice that's where I can find Allison hanging out during the day. Even though she has an updated room, she likes the Mellanni sheets on my bed more than hers. I need to get a set for her room so my room can be my sanctuary once again.

Mellanni Fine Linens are available from sizes Twin to California King, in over 15 beautiful colors. Check them out on Amazon, so you can get a well deserved good night's sleep, too!

Do you fall asleep quickly at night, or do you toss and turn before dozing off?

  2. Her room is a greenish blue. I need to take a picture in natural light so you can see it more accurately.

The green in the bathroom is just the drywall we hung. I'll be painting it a silvery gray as soon as Jason finishes sanding it down. Our shower finally arrived yesterday, so fingers crossed we have the entire room complete this weekend :)

  3. Great price and they sound awesome indeed. Ugg to tiling, hate that at my sea. I tend to take a while to fall asleep if my brain won't shut off.

    1. I'm normally like that too, but since I'm exhausting my body so much lately, it's been really easy to fall asleep.

  4. I could probably sleep a lot better if Chris didn't snore so bad. Even when I punch him at full force, he will wake up for 2.2 seconds and go right back to the snoring.

    1. Jason is the same way! He'll wake up like nothing even happened, then immediate fall back asleep, snoring like a freight train. Ugh!

  8. There are times where I toss and turn the entire night and other nights I'm out like a light quickly. I do love luxurious sheets and pillow cases and will be looking into these soon!

  10. Those sheets look so comfy. If I'm tired I can fall asleep pretty much right away with the TV blaring.....if I'm not or I'm anxious about something I'll toss and turn pretty much all night!

  16. I'd love to have sheets that make me happy. :) And you're doing the tile!!! I need to get with you when I become a homeowner again. I bought the tile for my last house, but my husband's brother put it in. I loved it so!! Yours is looking great!

    1. Sliding into freshly laundered soft sheets is such a great feeling! We are thinking of ripping up the icky wood in our kitchen and laying tile this summer, but after days spent doing it in the bathroom, I may need more time to come around to the idea. Currently, I hate tiling lol.

  17. A great color for the bedroom and I love child labor!!! haha Your bathroom is just stunning...as I knew it would be Theresa. Is that marble on the walls? JUST WOW!

    1. Thanks Karen! Yes, we went with marble for the walls. It was a toss up between that and plain white glass, but I liked that the gray tones in the marble blended well with the flooring.

  19. A good night sleep is so important.
I even wear yellow glasses after 7pm or so, in order to reduce the bright glare from smart devices and TV in order to help induce sleep.
