Rachael Ray Nutrish Zero Grain Gets 2 Paws Up! #NutrishZeroGrain

I've featured my dogs here over the years, mostly just in photos. Today, I want to tell you a little more about them, and why we think they are such special members of our family.

Here's Adrian.

She's definitely the troublemaker of the pack, always looking to shove her nose where it doesn't belong. Counter surfing, seat stealing, squirrel chasing girl, but she always gives us such belly laughs it's easy to overlook her mischievous ways. Plus, she's a real sweetheart. Even when she knows she's waking us up, she always brings the gift of a toy to motivate us to get out of bed faster. She's highly intelligent, and sometimes I just watch in amazement as she problem solves. Her brain is always working overtime, it's probably why she's always into something she shouldn't be.

Up next, we have Rocky. A mama's boy through and through, he's a real tender heart! Just ask "Who wants a hug?" and he'll come running. He's an 85 pound lap dog that just wants to snuggle. He loves baths and getting his hair combed. I'm pretty sure he thinks he was born royalty.

And, then we have Wrigley, our 14 year old pug.

We adopted Wrigley 7 years ago through a rescue organization. In her early life, she was pretty much used to produce puppies. While she is the sweetest girl you'll ever meet, she did have some issues we had to work through. She didn't know what a dog treat was, and forget about toys. They weren't even on her radar. She was skittish at every noise, and would run for cover at the mere sound of the crinkling of a bag or a dropped pencil. It wasn't until we brought the boxers home that her spry self finally emerged. She now plays with toys, chases the bigger dogs, and even barks on occasion, something we didn't think she could do for the first 3 years we had her! She's now queen of the castle and has definitely become accustomed to living quite the spoiled life.

Each of our dogs are unique and special in their own way, and we do everything we can to ensure they are happy and healthy. One of the ways we do that is by feeding them high quality dog food, and right now they are loving Rachael Ray Nutrish Zero Grain Beef with Bison dry dog food.

We were first attracted to Rachael Ray Nutrish Zero Grain simply because it is grain free. Neither of the boxers can tolerate grains in their diet, so it sounded perfect to us. Made with real U.S. farm-raised beef, which happens to always be the first ingredient, and combined with wholesome vegetables and simple ingredients, it's a food that we feel good serving all 3 of our pooches. Rachael Ray Nutrish Zero Grain also has:
  • Zero grains, glutens or fillers
  • Zero poultry by-product meal
  • Zero artificial preservatives, colors, or flavors
It's really everything we look for in the food we want to serve our pets.

Adrian approves!

I've long been a fan of Rachael Ray in the kitchen for humans, but her love and passion for animals has drawn me to her as a person as well. Rachael’s personal proceeds go to Rachael’s Rescue, a charity created to help shelter pets in need, and to date has donated over $9MM! That money has provided food, medical supplies and treatments for less fortunate animals. As a rescue mama, that kind of generosity really warms my heart.

Rachael Ray Nutrish is the first premium brand that is only available in grocers and mass retailers like Target, Walmart and Amazon. Not only does Nutrish offer premium dog food, there's also a premium cat food in the pet food line as well. Right now, you can save $3 off your purchase of Rachael Ray Nutrish Zero Grain pet food with this printable coupon!

  1. The pug is hilarious :) Do they all sleep together and get along well? And look at that one posing like a model next to the bag!

    1. Some days they are best buddies, some days they just tolerate each other. In the winter though, you will find them all smashed together for warmth. It's funny, the bigger 2 lay on the pug, and she takes it like a champ. I think she likes the warmth they give her.

  2. Should use that last pic as a model for the food. Mom has a dog that is nearly 100 pounds and has tried to counter surf too. The big klutz is nowhere near as graceful as a can lol dogs sure can be fun indeed, and yeah have to watch that cheap arse pet food as it cause crystals easily in dogs and cats.

    1. The sad thing is, she knows to stay off the counter, she just doesn't care lol. I'm sure your mom's dog is the same ;) Yes, stay away from that cheap food. One should always check the ingredients on pet food just like we do for human food. Some of that food has some scary stuff in it!

  3. I'm guessing Wrigley was from a breeder who discarded her when she no longer was able to make him a profit. That's why I can't stand people who breed dogs for that kind of thing.

    1. That's exactly what she was used for, Adam. My daughter volunteers at a local pet refuge and some of those animals just have the saddest stories. The amazing thing is, how many of them are still so friendly and lovable, even after all they have had to endure. Profit breeders anger me to no end as well.

Shes my sweet love bug. We have a 3 year old Chug (chihuahua pug) that makes us laugh a million times a day.
