With only 3 weeks (YIKES!) left of 2014, many of us are starting to plan out our New Year's resolutions. I think weight loss or healthier eating has got to be #1 on the list for most people, and one of the best ways to start with that goal is to cut out the sugar we consume each day. That is definitely easier said than done though. I have a sweet tooth that could rival the Cookie Monster's, and in order to get my fill of sweets, I need to have a suitable replacement for sugar. I have been a fan of NuNaturals Stevia for quite some time, and find that just a little of the product is just as sweet as refined sugar, without the harmful effects it can cause on the body.

NuNaturals has an extensive line of Stevia products that are 100% natural. Pure Liquid Stevia in several flavors, like peppermint, lemon, chocolate, vanilla and orange. NuStevia White Stevia Powers, NuStevia No Carbs Blend Stevia Powder, and their newest products- Simple Syrups and Cocoa Syrups!

NuNaturals

NuStevia products DO NOT contain aspartame, saccharin, sucralose, high-fructose corn syrup, sugar, soy, yeast, what, milk, synthetics, artificial colors, flavors or preservatives. They are GMO Free,  from sustainable agriculture assisting in making a healthy Earth.

NuNaturals NuStevia is Non-Bitter tasting, has ZERO calories, and does not effect blood sugar levels so it is safe for diabetics.

I like to use NuNaturals in my baking, but I especially love flavoring my beverages with it too! This is the time of year I am craving a chocolate/mint combination. My dad used to whip up some delicious minty milkshakes during the holidays, so I decided to re-create one of his recipes with NuNaturals Cocoa Mint Syrup, and came up with this Chocolate Covered Candy Cane Milkshake:

Candy Cane Milkshake

Ingredients:

4 scoops sugar-free vanilla bean ice cream
1/16 cup NuNaturals Cocoa Mint Syrup
1/2 cup skim or almond milk (or as needed to reach desired consistency)
1 crushed candy cane
(If you like an extra minty flavor, a few drops of NuNaturals Peppermint NuStevia liquid to taste)

Directions:

Crush candy cane (I used the rolling pin/baggie method).
Place all ingredients into blender and blend until smooth.
Top with whipped cream.
Sprinkle a few crushed candy bits over top.
Serve immediately.

Peppermint Milkshake

There are so many ways to incorporate NuNunaturals NuStevia into your recipes to add a delicious touch of flavor! Put them in water, add them to smoothies, or a few drops into your tea to kick it up a notch without adding sugar!

Right now, through December 31, NuNaturals is offering a 15% Discount when ordering from www.nunaturals.com. Just enter code BLG1214 at checkout.
