Wordless Wednesday ~ Toad

toad

toad

Summer isn't complete until one catches a toad. This little fella patiently let us snap some photos, then the girls took him down to the duck pond where we thought he'd be happier to spend his days.

Have you caught any toads this summer?

  1. Yes. We have these little ones that we find in our yard all the time. My boys like to catch them and slide them down the slide on our swingset lol.

    2. Look at you, mother hen. Nagging about the hand washing. I certainly did not. I immediately made myself a sandwich with toad germs all over it ;) Just kidding. Washed and sanitized first thing after releasing him :)

My daughter picks them up, and if she's feeling particularly rascally she'll tell me to come have a look (which she knows ain't happenin'). All of you gals (my girl included) are far braver than I.

  34. My youngest son loves catching toads. That's a cute picture above. I'm sure the little guy felt safe near his long lost cousin. lol! I don't like how toads pee on their handlers, so I leave that part to the kids.
