CVS/pharmacy Summer Essentials Helps To Keep Our Outdoor Activities Fun

After being cooped up during that long winter, my family has been taking every opportunity to hit the great outdoors this summer. We have been cruising the bike trails, hiking through the woods, picnics at the park, and even just hanging out in our own back yard, breathing in the fresh air has been wonderful!

Berry Picking!

But as any parent will tell you, being outdoors comes with its fair share of bumps, bruises, and ouchies. Just the past weekend, while hiking some trails, we stopped for a quick photo on these rocks.

Within seconds, mosquitoes were swarming and we all ended up leaving with at least one huge bite taken out of each of us. Thankfully, I always keep a supply of first aid products in my car, not only for bug bites, but for those occasional scrapes too, so relief was just a few steps away.

First aid car kit

Loaded with first aid essentials from CVS/pharmacy, I am prepared for those pesky small injuries that occur while we are enjoying the outdoors. Aside from sunblock packets and bug spray wipes, some of my favorite things to keep packed at all times:

CVS Instant Itch Relief Spray, which was perfect for our mosquito attack!
CVS Children's Plastic Antibacterial Bandages that come in adorable animal print and colors.
CVS Antibiotic + Pain Relief Cream to prevent infections occurring in small scrapes and cuts.
CVS Antibacterial Moist Wipes to wipe away all the germs little ones can attract while exploring all that nature has to offer.

Stocking up on these products at CVS/pharmacy helps me save money, so we can have more fun summer adventures. The CVS/pharmacy branded first aid products contain the same active ingredients, are regulated under the same strict FDA guidelines as their national brand counterparts, and actually cost 30% less! They have such a huge selection to chose from, I love that I can stock my kit in just one trip to CVS/pharmacy!

Keeping a supply of these products on hand in the car and at home ensures we can quickly and affordably take care of any small injury that may arise, so we can get back to having lots of summer fun!

  3. What did you make with the mulberries in the end? I adore mulberries! We had tones of them in my country before because they are used for the production of silkwarms.... but they are extremely sensitive trees and once they die they all die.... We don't have them much anymore :(

    1. Honestly Dezzy, they don't last long enough to make anything with. We wash them up and eat them right away. I need to send the girls out to get more before the birds eat them all up.
