Cooking Healthy With Bamboo

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

Many of you know that I really enjoy cooking for my family. My girls are getting older now, and they are also slowly learning how to cook as well. While I like that they are taking more responsibility in the kitchen, drilling it into their heads not to use metal utensils on my cookware has been quite a challenge. My pans have taken a beating since they have learned to cook, getting all nicked and scratched up. I have been thinking about getting all wooden utensils, but I have heard that most of them warp and crack after a few uses, and I don't want to keep throwing money into cooking tools. When I heard about Bamboo Styles Premium 6 Piece Cooking Utensils, I thought, "Hmmmmm! These may be the solution to my kitchen problems!"

Each premium cooking utensil is made with high quality hard Moso bamboo, so it will not warp or crack. It is 15%  harder than maple wood and 33% lighter than oak. The 6 piece set comes with a spoon, slotted spoon, fork, single hole spoon, slotted spatula, and spatula.

What I love most about the Bamboo Styles utensils is they are Eco-Friendly. Made from natural bamboo with no dyes or colors, you can be sure that no nasty chemicals are leaking out into your food as you are cooking, like you get with plastic utensils. They are safe to use on all cookware, and will not scratch pots and pans. They are really light weight and durable!

We have been using them in the kitchen for all kinds of meals, most recently on Chinese dinner night.

I sometimes have a bad habit of leaving the utensils resting against the hot pan as I cook, and I love how these did not get hot like a metal utensil would, which could result in burns. They are easy to clean, but you should hand wash these only. It did not come with a cleaning guide, so I wasn't sure if they were dishwasher safe. I did a test run on one, placing it in the top rack of my dishwasher for a cycle. When it came out it felt a little gritty. So I do not recommend placing any bamboo product in a dishwasher.

I think the Bamboo Style cooking utensils look great in any kitchen, and with party season in full swing, would make the perfect wedding, housewarming, or hostess gift!

Bamboo Styles 6 Premium 6 Piece Cooking Utensil set has a list price of $19.97, but Amazon currently has them available for $9.49. That is a real bargain, I think! They guarantee there will be no warping or cracking with a full money back guarantee should that occur. On top of a great product, they offer great service too!

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

  1. I prefer to use wooden cooking tools in my kitchen too as most of my pans are non-stick. The colours for these look great!

  3. Nice!!! My now-21 year old and my currently 15-yr. old were/are both ridiculous on my cookware. They think a fork is no big deal. The marks on the pan show otherwise. -_- This Bamboo set would fix their little wagons. :)
