Movember, Target & Ugly Sweaters #MyKindOfHoliday

November is more than half way through, and this month millions of people have joined Movember. Movember, an official global charity, is hoping to raise awareness and funds through their program. Men all over the world are sprouting moustaches all month long to bring attention to men’s health issues: prostate and testicular cancer. For 30 days, men take the pledge to not shave their stashes, sparking conversation everywhere they go. Now, Target Stores are joining the cause, offering a new line of Ugly Men’s Products for the holidays.

Target has a wide variety of men’s moustache products, ranging from shot glasses to socks, that are sure to please those men in your life. Moustaches have been trending pretty hard this year, and I actually think every stash product they have is super cute, though technically, they are supposed to be considered ugly.

Speaking of ugly holiday items, holidays are so much more fun when the family participates in an Ugly Sweater Competition! My family always tries to outdo each other, picking out the craziest sweaters we can find. No repeats are allowed from the previous years, so we all have a pretty huge collection of of ugly sweaters. My family is a little on the crazy side, so I think they secretly wear theirs outside of the competition day! Shhh, don't tell them I spilled their dirty little secret! I host a family Christmas breakfast a few days before the actual day, and that’s when the Official Ugly Sweater Competition kicks off. We all have a delicious meal and a lot of laughs over each others sweaters. This year I had a tough time finding a truly horrible sweater. I guess everyone else had the same idea to load up on them at the thrift store. However, I did find this black with gold lining, huge shoulder padded sweater with yucky holiday bulbs stitched on the front that will be my ugly sweater choice this year. While I may or may not win, I will certainly have fun looking like a dweeb along with the rest of the family.

Does your family participate in an ugly sweater competition each year?

Thanks for the vote of my sweater to be a 'holiday' sweater. Don't worry I will be wearing it to a few Christmas parties, that's for dang sure.
