Roofsit 2013

Every year our local radio station puts on a week long charity program to raise money for child abuse prevention. I touched on it a little last year how the money raised has helped my family in the past, and what an awesome fund raising effort I think it is! The fund raising is a week long effort, and we love going to Kid's Day!

The girls get to play carnival type games:

Get their face painted, then head over to the tee shirt booth for tee shirt splatter painting:
Play with some petting zoo animals:

The bird on the end was screaming "Let Me Out!" Quite funny!

And companies like Dean's and Entenmann's donate treats for everyone to enjoy for free!

Have you been to any street carnivals this year?

  1. What a FANTASTIC event & it's nice when the money actually goes back to people that need it. I didn't follow you back then, so I had no idea that your niece lived with you for a year. How wonderful that you stepped in to help like that and this charity was able to help you when you needed some help :)

  4. I haven't been to one for awhile. We did go to a smaller one to support Isaak's preschool. It's amazing seeing so many people work towards a cause.

    1. Totally Adam! I always said that if I went on Price Is Right, I HAD to play Plinko or it would be disappointing lol.
