Theresa's Mixed Nuts: ¡Olé!

¡Olé!

Every holiday is a cause for celebration in my family! Even though we were dead tired from a wedding we attended on Saturday, we still made time to host Cinco de Mayo yesterday. It's the one day of the year that I will allow myself to indulge in greasy, fried deliciousness and not feel guilty. My sister in law makes the BEST fried tacos and guacamole, so there is no way we would let a little drowsiness keep us from that party!

Sombrero Hats. Saw this on Pinterest and couldn't resist making them this year!

Did you celebrate Cinco de Mayo this year? What are some of your favorite Mexican dishes?

  2. You know, we don't do anything. I would have gone out for some Mexican with my husband, but the kids don't like it, so we didn't do a darn thing. Maybe next year.

  5. Barely ever even heard of the day, no one celebrates it much at all at our bay, if at all.

  6. How fun!

I didn't do too much because I wasn't feeling the best. My husband did however however make guacamole for the kids and him to eat.

  10. Ole is right! Would you believe my HM is a Mexican and we NEVER EVER celebrate Cinco de Mayo. He says it is a big deal here more than there. hmmmm? I find that hard to believe. He says Americans are always trying to find a way to have a holiday. He said Mexicans have too work. I agree! Mexicans including HM are such hard workers. Would you believe we cut down a tree in our yard over the weekend too? ...true!
