Theresa's Mixed Nuts: Tooth Fairy Dust!

Tooth Fairy Dust!

Allison lost another tooth this weekend! I think she looks forward to the visit from the Tooth Fairy more for the "fairy dust" she gets sprinkled on her money than the actual money itself! We've been doing this with our kids for the past 6 or so years, and it never gets old for them. Allison actually likes to smear the "dust" on her eyelids and wear it to school to show off to her friends :)

All you do is sprinkle a little body glitter over a dollar bill and cha ching! The Tooth Fairy has left a nice sparkly bill behind.

You can buy a little tube of Wet and Wild body glitter for around a dollar or two at most drugstores and mass merchandisers in the makeup section. We like this brand because it's super fine glitter, not at all big and chunky like craft glitter.

  1. Now that is pretty darn cool! I actually told Phill not long ago that I want to do this with our kids when that time comes. It looks so neat! I think it looks even better on US money because ours is coloured. But I'm sure would still be just as glittery! ;) She looks so happy in those picture :)

    1. Brandi, don't worry about it not showing up on colored money. The light will hit and and make it shine! We also sprinkle a little on the table where the money is left and some on her pillow, so it looks like the toothfairy dropped some there too while getting the tooth out.

      Your kids will love it!

  2. Glitter is such a great idea! Unfortunately my 8yr old caught me just the other nite taking her tooth so I won't be able to try that. Darn!

    1. Sorry, but I really had to laugh at this! I don't know how many times I've been almost caught! I actually forgot to put the money out Friday night (when she lost it). Thankfull that note to the toothfairy is one asking her to wait until Saturday night so she could wake up to money AND gifts from the Easter Bunny all in one day, so that bought me my cover.
